Does It Count If You Only Do It To Keep The Chain Going?

Some days you don’t have the drive. Some days, you feel a bit disconnected from your purpose or your journey. Some days you’re not sure what to say or what the next step should be.

But, then you realize you have two options. You can sit still and do nothing. Or, you can do something. The issue is that you’re not always sure what that “something” is.

It doesn’t matter. Do something. Do something so the chain doesn’t break. Keep moving so you don’t lose momentum. Stay in action so it’s easier to accelerate.

You keep looking for deeper meaning. You’re looking for something profound to say. You want to say a word which will make a difference.

You dig deep!

But you come up with nothing.

So, you end up just doing it to avoid the guilt. Well, maybe it’s not the guilt. It’s just so you can say that you did something. It’s the hope that if you just do something, maybe the inspiration will hit and it will develop into something else. You just do something because maybe, just maybe, today’s the day. You know, the day where something clicks. And it can’t click if it doesn’t exist…right? So, you do something just to keep the chain going.

Yes, it counts. It counts because it’s not perfect. It’s just…done!
