If You Had The Money, Would You Do It?

If I had the money, would I have paid to get my kids into the college of my choice? What about you? If you had the money, what would you have done?

It’s a simple question and one we would like to answer clearly. But, when you ask yourself the question, you have two answers…the one you are giving and the one you aren’t so sure is the right one. Huh?

This isn’t exactly a Heinz dilemma. You want to be able to say, “I would ABSOLUTELY do the right thing.”

However, somewhere in your mind, you ask yourself the question, “would I? would I really? If I had that kind of money and I knew it would provide a huge opportunity for someone I love, would I totally let it go?”

Ultimately, you may take the moral high ground but we still ponder the question. This is one of those moments where we question our own “goodness.”

We ask, “Am I good because I want to be or am I good because I just haven’t been given the right opportunity to be bad…yet?”

It’s a human question. And we ask it because we all have choice. We never make a decision just once. We make them repeatedly…over and over and over again. Some decisions become easier and automatic over time. And some decisions are frontal lobe, every time.
