Stop Hiding Your Story

I wanted to start a business, so I searched “Alta Vista” and “Ask Jeeves.”
If you don’t recognize those names, you were born after 1998. Those were the search engines back before Google was synonymous with online search.

I tapped into my keyboard, “starting a business.” When the results came back, I clicked the top link, “5 Steps To Starting Your Business.”
After downloading the paperwork from the IRS, I searched the appropriate registry for my business name. Finally, I got the forms necessary to submit my name with my payment.
Once the approved paperwork arrived, I remember the feeling. I wanted to dance on the ceiling. I was official! I was a business. This was real!

But, what if I didn’t have the roadmap? Could I have started and registered the business without the information I found online? Maybe! Sure, I could have asked questions or gone to the library. But, the process was so much easier because I found an article that listed the process step by step.

It’s just like that for you. You’re the search engine, and your life is the story. Someone is looking for information on getting past their current challenges. You are THEIR Google.
