What Does That Day Look Like?
Day 3
I remember getting engaged to my wife. It was an amazing day…a nervous one but an amazing one. I had planned it, I wrote a song for the day, I sang it and then got down on my knee before she knew what was happening. It was nerve-wracking but amazing.
The engagement took place and now it was on to the big day. My wife had a vision in her head of what the day would look like. She had been planning this day for quite some time…even before she met me. She had her “fairy tale” and was going to do everything she could to create that.
Most of us don’t operate that way. We simply step into the routine that has been created for us. But it doesn’t have to be that way. What if you didn’t have any fear? What if you were not afraid of judgment? What if you didn’t lack the resources to do what you wanted? What if you had all the time you needed to accomplish anything wanted? What would you do if you knew you just couldn’t fail?
Let’s look at your ideal day.
Day 3 Prompt: If you had everything you needed to succeed, what would your ideal day look like?
If you can imagine a day where you accomplish everything you want and achieve the best, what would need to happen in order to create it? Based on where you are now, how close could you get to creating this perfect day? It’s important to stretch your thinking past where you are into where you can be. When you can see the script, then you can begin to ACT the part. When you ACT the part, you know what it feels like to accomplish the goal. Now, all you need to do is fill in the blanks. Easy? No. Possible? Only one way to find out.
